Woodcroft homes are bigger than the historic cottages north of the city — Colonial Revivals with nine-foot ceilings, contemporary open-plan kitchens, dining rooms sized for twelve. The design vocabulary is a little more relaxed than Hope Valley or Forest Hills; less formal, more family-forward, but no less considered by the hosts who live here. My European training is just as relevant in a Woodcroft dining room as in a Georgian one — the restraint and the structure translate.
